Thumbs up WHO's Bacteriological Water Drinking Criteria

    WHO's Bacteriological Water Drinking Criteria

our Prelim Questions and most favourite for Spots..

    1. WATER IN THE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

    1. Throughout sny yesr 95% of the samples should not contain organisms in 100 ml..

    2. No sample should contain E.Coli in 100 ml.

    3. No sample should contain more than 3 coliform organisms in 100 ml.

    4. Coliform organisms should not be detactable in 100 ml of any two consecutive samples.

    2. INDIVIDUAL OR SMALL COMMUNIT SUPPLY

The standerds outlined above may not be attainable in water derived from wells, bores, springs..In this case coliform count should be less than 10 in 100 ml..Persistant failure to achieve this, perticularly E.Coli. leads to contamination of water supply....
