Mention 5 social factors involved in acceptance of vasectomy as method of family planning.
Mention 5 social factors involved in acceptance of vasectomy as method of family planning.
Acceptance Of VASECTOMY..!!
Although a million Americans each year choose sterilization for birth control purposes, there is little research on the social consequences of sterilization.
Following Factors I can suggest..
-Male Dominance in India ( yet in Rural Area its toooo strict..)
-Recanalisation Rate If couple want to conceive, It is better with Tubectomy that Vasectomy..( I think its true but exact rate I will confirm and then post..)
-Just after Tubectomy Female is Sterile, but Its not so for Vasectomy..You have to wait about 3 months for Male to be Completely Sterile..
-Male are perhaps more affected During Coitus in case of Vasectomy..They might have decreased pleasure or there maight be Erecile Dysfunction as Psycological Impotency Comes in Picture..
Now Following I have Found on Net..Not my Personal Thoughts..( Remember this)![]()
-It has been suggested that men who believe themselves to be truly sterile may feel more inclined toward marital infidelity. Vasectomy may also aggravate the tendencies among middle-aged men that lead them to discard their wives in favor of younger women.
-Minimum age and spousal consent requirements for sterilization have been reduced in many states, which can cause stress in marriages, especially when a couple later on reconsiders this permanent decision made earlier in their married life.
-Regrets over this decision, made under stressful circumstances, may adversely affect marriages. Some of the most heartbreaking letters received by the Couple to Couple League come from couples who have deep sorrow and bitterness about a sterilization operation.
-Another distressing social consequence comes from the very nature of sexual sterilization: the acceptance of the idea that an essential part of the body can be disconnected like a machine. This has grave implications. Cats and dogs are spayed for the convenience of their masters — who are the "masters" in the human social order?
We research more on Contraceptive Methods in Female Because Most of the study In this field are carried out by Males..Ha..Ha...Ha..![]()
Thank you GOD
i think we have to answer factors which are involved in acceptence..oyu mentioned all factors for rejection of vasectomy...even i think that question shd be for rejection then for acceptance..
Oh..completely misunderstood...
Now I think that...
- Promotion of NSV - Non Scalpel Vasectomy
- More Incentive than any other method by government. ( Rs 250 )
- Provision of Health Insurance by Oriental Insurance Company Ltd.
- less time consuming operation..SO males if want can get ready to work within a day or so even..While in Female, tubal ligation requires some more rest..
