    From Robbin's textbook:

    Definition : This is a febrile disorder of unknown cause characterised by attacks of fever accompanied by inflammation of serosal surfaces, including peritoneum, pleura and synovial membrane.

    Classified as systemic amyloidosis under subclassification of Hereditary amyloidosis...

    Haven't studied it from medicine classes yet....This is all i know for the time being...

    Waiting for seniors here to post significance and treatment !!! If time allows, i'll look it up in the medicine textbooks !!
