Thread: lingual thyroid

whats the medical management of lingual thyroid

its a congenital problem.... usually u dont do anything... cause it may be the only thyroid tissue in the body.....

i can still remember a girl presenting in the opd with dysphagia....
on examination she was found to have a lingual thyroid....

S UR right ,but the dysphagia has 2 b treated in the case then what could b ur medical management??

what about injecting alcohol into it...will cause fibrosis and destroy it
