FIRST TESTS:
(follow in this order untill u find sum thing conclusive, u dont have to perform all these tests, history and physical exam will guide, however following order is best to follow)
clinical history
physical exam
stool exam(PH, WBC,blood,fat, ova parasite)
stool culture
stool for toxin(e.g, c.difficile)
NEXT
sweat chloride
72-hour fecal fat
breath hydrogen test
THEN
endoscopic studies
sigmidoscopy/colonoscopy
barium studies
small bowel biopsy
THEN
hormonal studies
neurotranmitter studeis
