Thread: How to palpate carotid artery?

Can anyone tell me d exact precedure(point to point) to palpate carotid artery?
Where is it exactly palpated? anatomical landmark ?

And what are uses of Hydrocele fluid?
- i think someone has told me that it is protein rich media.. but for wht is it used?

Read from mcleod/bates and watch tally's or swartz's dvd.

I don't know use of hydrocele fluid.

But question asked frequently in our viva was how will you differentiate between hydrocele fluid and urine?

Ans: hydrocele fluid contains fibrinogen while urine doesn't so putting a drop of blood will differentiate between both.
