I wanted to get an idea of what people are using for practice questions for step 1. I've done a little research and it seems that the three most popular ones are Kaplan's Qbank, USMLE world and the USMLERx Qmax. They all contain around the same amount of total questions (over 2000). The Kaplan Qbank is the most expensive of the three, I think around $200 for one month. The USMLE world and Qmax have an interface that is similar to the actual exam. Does anybody have an advice on these websites? Which do you think is the most helpful?

Has anybody used USMLERx Qmax? How are the questions, are they similar to the real exam? On their website, you can try a free sample exam to see what it is like. It seems very nice. They give you the section of First Aid that the question relates to. I'm only concerned that the questions from Qmax are testing your knowledge of First Aid as opposed to testing your USMLE knowledge; know what i mean. Here is the link to the website: http://www.usmlerx.com/USMLEFlash/step1.aspx I think I have time to do two Qbanks? Which ones should I do?

| I bought the USMLERx book and I thought the questions were way too easy... Nothing like the real thing. Usmleworld is the best. I don't know too much about usmleasy

I think Kaplan still offers a free 2 week trial for their qbank, not sure for how long. If I took it, I'd make sure to run through ALL the questions before time was up and only pay if I felt I would gain from going through them again later. Don't think it's a great idea to be subscribing for ages to something that you only use a very small amount of time.

hi! USMLEWORLD is much better than kaplan. Study the kaplan notes, and you'll be able to answer the kaplan qbank. because its basically based (and biased too) on their book, except that its much better than the qbook. But USMLEworld is more balanced, more similar to the exam i took this december,it really is the best for practice!
