| Dear all, I am an old graduate I graduated in 1990. I have completed intermediate level specialisation in general surgery, now intend to go to US for resdiency. I am in the middle of USMLE prep. I wanted to know from you people that what are chances of getting residency at this age and experience. |

| Believe in what you are, worth and know. believe me you are in good position, any hospital gonna catch you, they want people with knowledge and experience for take care of theirs patients. you only need is pass the test. and very good luck. |

| Yes, I have a good friend OBGYN, graduated from Mexico, He was working in a good hospital, took the board and now he is finishing residency in Philadelphia. There are a lot of cases like you around, so do not feel alone. There are hospitals that do non like FMG, but others do. I think In USA the age do not matter. never is late. this is the country that allow any good dream trough a high quality work. GL |
