The Government of India has declared the Diplomate in National Board(DNB) degree as equivalent

to Masters Degree(MD) in all the specialities including recruitments in Medical colleges and

Hospitals. Congratulate all the DNB candidates as they are going to rule the Govt. Organisations

too who were ruling the corporate sectors only. The Indian Gazette is also attached RapidShare: Easy Filehostingfor your kind

DNB was far more superior and tougher compared to MD. Though it may be treated on par to MD, when you work as consultant, doctors with DNB will command more respect and better perqs than MD.
Anyway, I will to do DNB after my MD.

      Just my .02$

EDIT: Moved the thread from forum feedback to students hangout. Cheers!!

Hi there.....I'm afriad its only on paper.
On a recent MCI Inspection one of our AP's whose a DNB was said not to have fulfiled the critera. The same thing happened at neighbouring college as well. All this after the MCI team was shown a cooy of the gazette of india.

So if u want to work in a medical college-----DNB may not cut it.

well i agree with the above post.in our college to they didnot regard dnb while doing the mci check.. that is too bad .after all dnb is a lot tougher to clear than MD.
there are some issues with the MCI these days.heard they may be scrapped.is it true?
