Hello,
I have an issue that I have seen my doctor about but with all due respect to her I just don't think she saw what I was trying to show her in my mouth/throat. I even asked her if she saw anything and she said 'no'. I was wondering if someone could give me an opinion on this. Basically I have a pain in my throat which gets worse sometimes and sometimes it's almost like it's not there (I don't know of a pattern it just seems to be kind of random). There ARE bumps in my throat but they are hard to see unless you know where they are so I took a picture which is below. The arrows point to bumps/spots that feel quite tender but they don't bleed as far as I am aware. I also notice one has become slightly discoloured. At the back of my throat there are white dots too and they are less prominent in this pic but sometimes they are more prominent and you can see these white 'bumps'. My doctor has prescribed me Omezprazole which is for some sort of stomach condition that causes acid to come up into the throat (Don't ask me why but my gut feeling is that this is not the issue, though I did tell her I get a fairly persistent urge to cough like there is mucus in my lower throat). I intend changing my doctor on Monday or Tuesday so I can see someone else. I should just mention here that I am in the UK (Scotland). Thanks for reading and any advice greatly appreciated.
P.s. the attached thumbnail may be clearer than the main image below. I could not get the main image in the post without cropping it down in size.
