    Default Kidney stones questions

    Hi,

after some weeks of intermittent blood in my urine, a CT scan found a stone in my left kidney. This stone is too big to pass so they'll have to remove it. This stone is located on top of ureter, so just before leaving the kidney.

1- Sometimes the blood is brown, sometime pink/red. Why is the blood colour isn't always the same ?

2- What makes stones moves ? Sometimes I see blood after doing some physical activities (which seems logic) but sometimes I have blood and didn't do any abrupt mouvement.

3- I never had any pain. How a big stone like that, that gives me blood in my urine, don't get me any pain ?

    thanks!

    Hello,

It cn be due to stone but gross blood in urine usually indicates some priblem in bladder if it is painless and no other complains.
Visit any good 7rosurgeon and get examined properly.

    thanks for the answer !

Do you have some example of bladder problem that can cause this ?

Because I've been followed by two doctors and one urologist so far. I did several blood samples and several urine samples (like urine cytology). They tested me for a lot of things and all were negative. Bladder cancer can is not impossible but at my age (34) and I never smoked...But I think this one was negative too.

Then I did ultrasound of bladder, kidney, liver, etc. Nothing.

Then I did a CT scan of all of my organs from liver to bladder. That's where they saw my 8mm kidney stone in my kidney.

    Everything else was perfectly clean.

So, it's not impossible to have something else but if it's the case, it's really hiding !

Urologist thinks that maybe I have sometimes small (like a grain a sand so I wont see or feel it) pieces that breaks from the kidney stones and that can scratch all the way down.
