Default Cancer risk from head ct scan

    Hi,

I am 37 year old male, i went through a ct scan of head last september, report was normal , now everything was fine till in january i read an article about a study in US and Australia that Ct scan radiation can cause cancer , now since then i have been really worried about that one ct scan of head(plain) , i wrote to many radiologist and asked their opinion and they said the dose is not much and i should not worry, they said risk is much higher in kids and women and for multiple scans...

I went to the ct scan center and came to know that they have 16 slice machine ...

Can any one here tell me that the brain tumor cases that they come across, have they come any cases where ct scan was carried out on the patient and he developed the disease as a result of it...

I am worried as i do not know how much dose they might have given me, does any one have idea for dose from a ct scan machine in india ...

Any reply will help greatly ...

    Regards

    Don't worry!

It takes multiple scans and other factors , just 1-2 scans wont do harm.
