hi dear can any one help me out with any information that a student studing outside india will have to do internship in the country where is he studing or can do the internship in india after geting through fmge ...please help out ...lots of talk going on no clear answer .......

well yes.... u can, if u clear the FMGE.... but i dont knw about the recent MCI rules.... please check the latest at their website...

for students studyin outside india except saarc (like russia and china ).....after clearing fmge they have to do internship in india no matters u did it or not in ur college but u have to do it in india after clearin test......but if ur univ allows u to do intrnship outside then u shud clear fmge first aftr final exam..and thus u can skipp ur intrnship in ur collge and cn do it in india. this will save ur 1 yr but othrwise if intrnship is mandatery in ur collge thn u hav to do it again in india...
bt this rules are nt applicable 4 collges in saarc counteries and ireland.....provided tht collge shud be in who enlistd......

thanks a lot SANDY i get ur point dear .what about the mci rule is that allow us to do the internship in india ,we the student here are in great delema what to do next..as we dont have any senior in our college ...so can u do me a favour by clearyfying the mci rules about this so that we can concentrate on our studyes rather than finding out what to do next .....that would be a great help....thanks a lot ...

no bro u CANNOT do internship frm outside india..the rules are that u wont get ur degree untill u finish a year of COMPULSORY rotating internship...so in a way internship is a part of the MBBS course n curriculum in india...universities in america treat our internship as our Final year in undergraduate studies (MBBS). however GOOD NEWS is that if ur University agrees to let u go on a visiting student or an exchange student program in any other university outside india then u may do that but i dont think any university wud let u do ur WHOLE internship as an exchange student. Hope that clears ur doubt.

thanks dreamer_julius im a student of final year studying in china ...i want to do my internship in inda and i would like to know that what is the rule as per the mci that can we do the internship in india or not ....as here in our college the college says that u can do it in india but u must make it clear from the mci.....so we the student wanted to make things very clear so that in future we dont have problem from the side of mci that "mci will only take the student that have done internship in or out side of india whta ever is in the rule of mci regulation " ............... hope that u are geting my point here ............ please reply me if there is any information regarding this ...that would be great help to all of us here ....

No..MCI doesnt allow any1 who hs done mbbs frm othr country to do intershp frm india..if u guys get degree before doing ur internship in china then thr MAY b hope fr u guys..do gt in touch with d MCI people thru their website cuz this matter involves lot of technicalities n paperwrk wch may take time n need to b taken care of very early n only MCI guys may help u as its their final word...However in general MCI has no such policy wherein it allows foreign students to do internship from india...any other private or autonomous medical institute may b d only hope fr u guys bt u need to act swiftly without wasting ny more time.
