Its important to ask about chills and rigor..
Its important to ask about medication because if the patient is taking medication you may be asked how you have come to know about the character of fever.. Answer would be that if fever subsides only on medication it is likely to be continuous.. Similarly diurnal variation must be asked, in step ladder temperature slowly rises, eg if it were 100 today morning it would be 102 by evening..next morning if 101 then go the evening 103..
Also you can ask about mode of subsidence whether by lysis or crisis..

4.mode of subsidence
5. If under 5 h/o seizure during the fever episode..
