@ a4assasins...Are you not confusing pallor with cyanosis ???

Pallor has no such thing as central or peripheral....

Check pallor on palpebral conjunctiva (Most sensitive), dorsum of tongue, nail beds and creases of the hand for severe pallor. Correct me if i'm wrong..

You could check pallor on palpebral conjuctiva, dorsum of tongue, but I know that the most sensitive sites to look for pallor are the mucous membrane of inner lips and cheeks

I think i should answer now.

    Sites to check :

    Soft palate
    palmer creases
    palpebral conjunctiva
    dorsum of tongue
    nails
Softpalate is most sensitive site.[Our medicine proff. told us.]

    Next question:

Where will you check for icterus? How to determine bilirubin level from clinical examination?

    Sites are :

    Skin (especially on abdomen)
    Bulbar conjunctiva
If yellow discoloration, then it is mild increase in bilirubin and if severe increase then it is brown.

Urine colour also gives an indication (except if it is post hepatic jaundice).

    Thumbs up

What our proffesors believe for pallor is this..

Vaginal Mucosa in female and rectal mucosa in male for pallor..

This is what our RESIDENTS told us to say in exams...
I really dont think its useful but if you dont want to irritate examiners of our college, you have to say this..

Our problem is not that, we have to remember all sites, what is the problem is we have to remember what to answer against diferent examiners..ha..ha..ha..
    Thank you GOD

So simple answer is any mucosa ..say baginal mucosa..

Now answer my 2nd question..Amal has answered partly..
