Different findings in doppler and clinical tests of varicose vein possible?

I've examinted a patient who has saphenofemoral valve competent by clinical tests but incompetent acc. to doppler..

Nextday i've watched Sx of same patient and vein wasn't dilated at SFJ and no varicosities at SF.

Is doppler isn't accurate enough compared to clinical tests or there may be minor varicosity?
