    Arrow Social-Networking community for Doctors & Other medical personnels

    We are planning to create a Social-Networking community [Like hi5, orkut, myspace etc.] for Doctors & Other medical personnels.

    Share your thoughts regarding it.

    Dear Vitrag,
    It's quite an amazing idea, but there are some points to be noted...
    1.How would you know if some one is truly a med student so that not "everybody" would join?
    2.What would be difference between this community and "groups" in orkut or facebook?
    Although I do support the idea anyway...

    Our domain name will be related to medical field.
    Whether, non-medical users too join it or not, we don't have control. But as mostly all will be medico, it'll be good place to interact with eachother.

    Regarding difference, even i don't know rightnow.
    As we have decided this concept but not applied yet.
    Awaiting for responses.
    If more users will vote for yes, than we will proceed further.

    Have you guys been using Twitter?
    There is a thriving medical community on twitter too.
    All you have to do is just follow people you are interested in, med/health care guys, doctors. And you keep getting their short updates. They might also inturn follow you.
    I have been on Twitter for 5 months now, and its awesome.

    definitely yes!! it is a thousand times more easier 2 communicate and interact over a social networking site than a forum. i think its a gr8 idea!!
