Work in an institute,, do academic studies, publish and build a clientele.

    Then shift to pvt. practise.

you get to learn quite a lot and quickly in pvt. practice. the money is good too. you do need a good anal tone though.

i would say working in an institute for experience in the initial years and later move on to a private practise...
govt job is a big NO NO.
trust me cos i am stuck in a govt job now and i know that they are pretty much nothing more than an eye wash..if you work in a general hospital its ok but if in one of the PHCs ---let me tell you ,you would end up doing everything except practise medicine..you would only be giving PCT,DICLO and CPM...AND LOADS of DICLO injections..if you dont give injections you are a very bad doctor!-that was the name i earned in the first two months of my job..People went and complained to the local leader..after loads of lecturing from all my seniors i have mastered a new talent!i give around fifty injections per day!around 40 are distilled water!

@ dr.rdbis -- you are the boss in the govt job but every month you will be reminded twice that you are not!
first in the monthly taluk head quarter meetings and
second in the monthly district meetings
in those meetings they grill you like you are in a viva !especially if you are new and young!
