A 38-year-old with recent history of inguinal hernia surgery presents with sudden onset of severe lower-back pain 10 days after being discharged from hospital after completing 4 weeks of antibiotic treatment for nonhaemolytic Streptococci infection.

This case details the patient's history, radiological imaging and blood culture findings, treatment, and outcome, and includes several images. The authors review the predisposing factors for infective endocarditis and review the literature.
